PROBLEM: Talking about race in America can be hard for most people. But it doesn't have to be. Nor should it be. When adults are equipped to competently, confidently and truthfully discuss chronic systemic racial conditions in our society, they can effectively teach children accurate facts and holistic truth about the society we all inherited. Sadly, many uninformed and ill-informed children grow to become uninformed and ill-informed adults in our society with huge blind spots, ignorance and lack of empathy and understanding about the adverse impact of laws, systems, public policies and private sector practices upon generations of targeted Americans.
CHALLENGE: Too many of our most trusted institutions (schools, colleges, churches, media and governments) have not been equipped to effectively educate the majority of generations of Americans with much-needed knowledge, empathetic understanding and empowering capacity to take responsibility for the society we inherited. Each generation must decide whether to sustain the status quo or redesign, reform and reconstruct our society to be an environment that we're all collectively proud to pass on to future generations as a 21st century multiracial, multicultural equitable and Inclusive America. Every generation has an opportunity to disrupt systemic cycles inherited from previous generations. The question we must answer is: "Do we have the knowledge, the collective will and capacity?"
OPPORTUNITY: To empower Americans to become well-informed empathetic societal change agents, from teens and young adults to career professionals, business owners, industry leaders, policymakers and seasoned citizens, CGC has introduced into the arena of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) unique programming and training through our trademarked "Conversations Journey®" process.
SOLUTION: CGC's Conversations Journey® immerses participants in no-blame, no-shame co-learning small-group environment. Participants experience interactive collective learning and discovery about today's American society perceived anew through a lens of historical context. Our focus is on understanding how laws, systems, public policies and private sector practices across all sectors of society were established and have evolved over 26 generations.
Our Conversations Journey® is NOT...:
CGC does not compete with the above listed programs and training. Rather, we complement them. These types of educational programs and training processes can benefit from increased active engagement of participants that have experienced our Conversations Journey®.
Our Conversations Journey is also NOT:
We do recognize, however, that paradigm shifts are hard (for everybody) and we provide a safe space for participants to handle paradigm-shifting knowledge in their own ways.
We're excited to share that CGC was issued an official USPTO trademark on August 22, 2023 for our unique Conversations Journey® process.
TWO WORDS: REPEAT BUSINESS
Our Conversations Journey® has a proven track record of consistent outcomes over the past three years with institutional clients: White evangelical churches, K-12 schools, higher education institutions, municipalities, police departments, community nonprofits and other groups. Our business growth has come from satisfied clients who tell others about their experience. And that process of clients telling prospective clients has led to organic growth for CGC.
Review each of our sector pages to see how you can benefit from CGC, and see testimonials here from our clients.
Our Conversations Journey® process develops a common ground of paradigm-shifting new knowledge and understanding that better prepares participants to successfully navigate challenges and capitalize upon opportunities inherent in DEI racial equity programs, antiracist workshops and racial equity training. We can help increase success rates of existing training or help develop new training by preparing participants with a new lens and empathetic awareness about the current conditions of race in America and the opportunity we all have to sustain or change those conditions.
HOW CAN A CONVERSATIONS JOURNEY BENEFIT MY ORGANIZATION?
Our Conversations Journey® can be a companion process that supports existing racial equity and inclusion training efforts by preparing participants to engage productively, or CGC can be a prerequisite to racial equity and DEI trainings to develop a common ground of knowledge, understanding and empathetic inquiry necessary to establish the most favorable conditions for cohort groups to successfully engage in follow-on programs and training.
STRATEGIC PARTNER OPPORTUNITY
Engaging CGC as a strategic partner can help with equity assessments, strategies, training and curricula development. CGC can also be an advisor and thought partner, bringing to your table of ideation unique perspectives, knowledge and experience.

AMERICANS WANT FACTS, NOT FINGER-POINTING
Systemic racism is not something invented by anyone living today. We all collectively inherited the struggles of past generations. CGC offers a no shame, no blame process of perceiving today's 21st century society through a lens of historical context. We establish a common ground of knowledge and understanding in a safe group learning environment. We provide empirical data, irrefutable resources and a memorable story of 26 generations of American history that children as young as 8 years of age can understand.
RACIAL EQUITY STARTS WITH RACE, BUT THE DESTINATION IS OWNERSHIP
Equity = Ownership. If we are to fairly and justly assess present-day conditions of racial equity and trends with empirical data to compare with past conditions, it is imperative that we have sufficient knowledge of the past conditions (of ownership) to which we can compare present-day metrics. This process can help us better understand both the challenges and opportunities we face in changing or sustaining laws, systems, public policies and private sector practices future generations will inherit.
WE ALL INHERITED TODAY'S RACIALIZED SOCIETAL DYNAMICS
None of us are to blame for today's racialized power dynamics across our society. Every sector of society (every industry) inherited conditions, policies and cultures that were established in previous generations. The efforts across America to reform inherited 20th century institutional and corporate cultures toward racial equity have struggled to develop sustainable systemic outcomes with measurable results. Today, there continues to be pushback to DEI and other Racial Equity efforts.
CGC CAN HELP
We have an ongoing three-year track record of success with municipal leaders, police departments, K-12 schools, churches, and community nonprofits that supports the power of collaboration inherent in building a common ground of knowledge and understanding of today's racialized society through a lens of historical context.
