CGC offers a trademarked Conversations Journey® process that guides groups through a paradigm-shifting learning process infused with engaging conversations and activities that embed practical tools.
CGC effectively transforms natural skepticism, adopted historic narratives, racial and political ideologies, and even reluctance, into curiosity, empathy and energetic engagement that leads toward collective understanding.
EMPATHY IS AN IMPORTANT ELEMENT
A valuable benefit of CGC’s Conversations Journey® process is an EMPATHY EDUCATION which exposes participants to paradigm-shifting new knowledge that helps them to better understand the story of the experiences of others in our society today through a lens of historical context.
AMERICANS WANT FACTS, NOT FINGER-POINTING
Systemic racism is not something invented by anyone living today. We all collectively inherited the struggles of past generations. CGC offers a no shame, no blame process of perceiving today's 21st century society through a lens of historical context. We establish a common ground of knowledge and understanding in a safe group learning environment. We provide empirical data, irrefutable resources and a memorable story of 26 generations of American history that children as young as 8 years of age can understand.
RACIAL EQUITY STARTS WITH RACE, BUT THE DESTINATION IS OWNERSHIP
Equity = Ownership. If we are to fairly and justly assess present-day conditions of racial equity and trends with empirical data to compare with past conditions, it is imperative that we have sufficient knowledge of the past conditions (of ownership) to which we can compare the present-day metrics in order to better understand the challenges and opportunities we face in changing or sustaining laws, systems, public policies and private sector practices that future generations will inherit.
WE DIDN'T CREATE TODAY'S CONDITIONS, WE ALL INHERITED THEM
None of us are to blame for today's racialized power dynamics across our society. Every sector of society (every industry) inherited the conditions, policies and cultures that were established in previous generations. The efforts across America to reform inherited 20th century institutional and corporate cultures toward racial equity have struggled to develop sustainable systemic outcomes with measurable results. Sadly, there continues to be pushback to DEI and other racial equity efforts.
CGC CAN HELP BUILD A COMMON GROUND OF UNDERSTANDING AND COLLABORATION
We believe we have an approach that can help. Our ongoing track record of success with municipal leaders, police departments, K-12 schools, churches, and community nonprofits supports our belief that there is a way forward together when we build a common ground of understanding.
Administrators, Teachers and Students are on the front lines of America's culture war. K-12 districts hire CGC to help build a common ground of knowledge & understanding.
City leaders and staff hire CGC to help bridge gaps in knowledge and understanding about inherited policies and practices that have historically impacted their communities.
Law enforcement officers are on the front lines of community discord and political debate. We equip police departments to positively engage with communities on issues of race and equity..
Higher Education is impacted by various attitudes and politics of communities. CGC helps clients build common ground between admin, staff, students and communities.
CEOs, business leaders and managers are responsible for stewarding work environments that are inclusive, welcoming and equitable for a growing multicultural workforce. We can help.
Churches and nonprofit organizations often share similar missions, to help uplift the most vulnerable populations. CGC helps clients develop new approaches to empathetic impact.
